Arôme chocolat

Chocolate flavoring is an aromatizing ingredient used to reproduce the characteristic taste of chocolate in food formulations and dietary supplements. It may be of natural origin, obtained through the extraction or processing of cocoa beans, or synthetic, produced from isolated aromatic molecules. In both cases, it is used in very small quantities and does not alter the nutritional properties of the finished product. In the context of dietary supplements, chocolate flavoring is primarily used to enhance the sensory experience and make daily intake more enjoyable. It helps mask the bitterness or undesirable notes of certain active ingredients, thereby supporting long-term adherence. Its use is governed by European regulations on flavorings (EC Regulation No. 1334/2008), which set strict safety and usage criteria. Chocolate flavoring has no nutritional or physiological properties of its own; its role is exclusively organoleptic.
