MA-05CLINICAL STUDIES

CLINICAL STUDY NO. 1

DESCRIPTION:

This randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study on 300 mg of Metabolaid®, a polyphenolic blend (extracts of lemon verbena and hibiscus), was carried out on 61 overweight people for 90 days to assess its effects on weight management, fat mass, satiety, and certain metabolic parameters.

RESULTS:

The main findings of this study show a significant reduction in body weight (around −2.8 to −3 kg, i.e. −3.4%), a decrease in fat mass (up to −8.2%), and improved satiety after meals, observed over 12 weeks.

-8.2% fat mass

in 3 months

CLINICAL STUDY NO. 2

DESCRIPTION:

This randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study on 500 mg of Metabolaid®, a blend of polyphenols (extracts of Lippia citriodora and Hibiscus sabdariffa), was conducted on 56 overweight or obese people over 8 weeks to assess its effects on weight, body composition, and cardiovascular and metabolic parameters.

RESULTS:

The main results of this study show, in overweight people, a significant reduction in waist circumference (up to −6.8 cm) and fat mass (−3%), observed over 8 weeks with no changes to diet or physical activity.

-3% fat mass

in 2 months

CLINICAL STUDY NO. 3

DESCRIPTION:

This randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study on 500 mg of Metabolaid®, a blend of polyphenols from lemon verbena and hibiscus, was conducted on 54 people over 8 weeks to assess its effects on weight management, body shape, and satiety signals, in particular via GLP-1.

RESULTS:

The main results of this study show an improvement in body measurements (weight, waist circumference and fat mass), alongside an increase in GLP-1, contributing to better satiety, reduced feelings of hunger and fewer snacking cravings, observed over 8 weeks.

-56% in feelings of hunger and emotional cravings +30% production of the satiety hormone GLP-1

in 2 months

STUDY No. 4

DESCRIPTION:

This in vitro study assessed the effects of Metabolaid® on gut microbiota balance and the production of beneficial metabolites. Analyses were carried out using human microbiota under simulated conditions, to observe interactions between polyphenols and the gut environment.

RESULTS:

The results show that this polyphenol combination supports a balanced microbiota, with an increase in certain bacteria associated with healthy digestive function. It also stimulates the production of fermentation compounds, including short-chain fatty acids such as butyrate.

Increases microbiota diversity

CLINICAL STUDY NO. 5

DESCRIPTION:

This randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study on 500 mg of Metabolaid®, a blend of polyphenols from lemon verbena (325 mg) and hibiscus (175 mg), was conducted on 84 overweight people over 12 weeks to assess its effects on weight, body composition, and the mechanisms involved in energy and satiety management.

RESULTS:

The main findings of this study show a significant reduction in weight, BMI and fat mass—especially abdominal fat—observed over 12 weeks.

Body composition analysis (notably via the measurements shown in Figure 4) highlights a decrease in fat mass of up to around −6.9%, while preserving muscle mass.

Fat mass reduction of up to −6.9%

observed over 12 weeks.

CLINICAL STUDY NO. 6

DESCRIPTION:

This randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study on 500 mg of polyphenols was conducted on 54 overweight people over 8 weeks to assess the effects of Metabolaid® on appetite, satiety and signals associated with the regulation of food intake.

RESULTS:

The main findings of this study show a significant increase in satiety, associated with a rise in GLP-1, contributing to better appetite regulation.

These effects translate into reduced feelings of hunger and fewer snacking cravings, observed over 8 weeks, supporting better day-to-day control of food intake.

A significant increase in satiety associated with reduced feelings of hunger.

observed after 8 weeks

CLINICAL STUDY NO. 7

DESCRIPTION:

This randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study on 500 mg of polyphenols was conducted on 75 people over 12 weeks to assess the effects of Metabolaid® on eating behaviours, calorie intake and weight management, with a digitised follow-up of daily habits.

RESULTS:

The main results of this study show an improvement in eating behaviour, with a decrease in calorie intake and better regulation of food intake throughout the day.

These effects are accompanied by a reduction in weight and fat mass, observed over 12 weeks, suggesting an overall impact on energy balance and intake control.

A significant decrease in daily energy intake (measured in kcal via food tracking)

was observed after 12 weeks.

CLINICAL STUDY NO. 8

DESCRIPTION:

This randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study on 30 mg of Safr’Inside™ saffron extract was conducted on 56 adults experiencing mild emotional discomfort over 8 weeks to assess its effects on wellbeing, emotional balance and stress response.

RESULTS:

The main findings of this study show improved emotional balance, with fewer negative feelings and improved quality of life—particularly in social relationships—observed over 8 weeks.

Better adaptation to stress was also observed, with a more stable physiological response in stressful situations.

Reduced stress, often linked to snacking cravings

CLINICAL STUDY NO. 9

DESCRIPTION:

This randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled cross-over clinical study on 30 mg of saffron extract (Safr’Inside™) was conducted on 19 healthy men to assess its acute effects on stress response, measured through both physiological markers (cortisol) and subjective feelings during a standardised stress test.

RESULTS:

The main findings of this study show reduced perceived stress and anxiety after taking saffron, as well as modulation of the physiological stress response.

In particular, the cortisol peak is delayed after taking saffron, reflecting better adaptation of the body when faced with a stressful situation.

Effective within 30 mins to help reduce stress, often linked to snacking cravings

CLINICAL STUDY No. 10

DESCRIPTION:

This randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled cross-over clinical study on a saffron extract was conducted on 60 people over 8 weeks on snacking and cravings.

RESULTS:

Reduction in cravings and snacking

The study showed a decrease in cravings and snacking, and significant weight loss thanks to saffron compared with the placebo group.

Lower blood pressure.
