Phytosomal Quercetin (Quercefit®)

Quercetin is a natural flavonoid found in many plants — including onions, apples, capers and berries — belonging to the polyphenol family. Quercefit® is a patented ingredient that combines quercetin with Phytosome® technology, which bonds the active molecule to lecithin phospholipids to form a lipid complex that is readily recognised by the body. Quercetin is well known for its potent antioxidant properties: it contributes to neutralising free radicals and limiting cellular oxidative stress. It is also studied for its role in modulating inflammatory responses and supporting natural defences, particularly in relation to seasonal allergic reactions. The bioavailability of free quercetin is naturally low due to its poor solubility and limited intestinal absorption. The phytosomal form used in Quercefit® significantly improves its absorption and tissue distribution, making supplementation more effective at equivalent doses compared to standard quercetin.
