Magnesium Bisglycinate

Magnesium bisglycinate is a chelated form of magnesium in which the mineral is bound to two molecules of glycine, an amino acid naturally present in the body. This combination gives it particularly high bioavailability compared to other magnesium salts such as oxide or carbonate, as well as better digestive tolerance. Magnesium is the eleventh most abundant element in the human body and is involved in more than 300 enzymatic reactions. It contributes to normal energy metabolism, the functioning of the nervous system, muscle contraction, and the reduction of fatigue. It also plays a role in maintaining normal bones and teeth. Dietary magnesium intake is often insufficient in Western populations due to diets low in legumes, nuts, and whole grains. Supplementation in bisglycinate form can help meet these needs effectively and with good tolerability, particularly for individuals prone to fatigue, stress, or those engaged in regular physical activity.
