OXYPROLANE® fish protein hydrolysate is obtained through the partial enzymatic hydrolysis of proteins sourced from deep-sea, cold-water fish, selected for their distance from polluted areas. This fractionation process yields very low molecular weight micro-peptides, including sequences rich in glycine, proline and hydroxyproline — the characteristic amino acids found in collagen's structure. Thanks to their small size, these micro-peptides offer high bioavailability and are rapidly absorbed by the body. They help maintain an optimal supply of protein precursors essential for the endogenous synthesis of collagen, a key structural protein for the skin, joints, bones and connective tissues.
