Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis BS01
Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis BS01 is a probiotic strain belonging to the Bifidobacteriaceae family, naturally found in the human gut microbiota. Selected for its stability and resistance to digestive transit, it is able to survive gastric acidity and bile salts in order to reach the colon in sufficient quantities to exert its activity. This strain contributes to the balance of the intestinal flora by competing with undesirable micro-organisms and supporting the integrity of the intestinal barrier. In vitro and clinical studies suggest that it contributes to the maintenance of regular bowel transit and overall digestive comfort. It is also studied for its interaction with the immune system associated with the intestinal mucosa. Supplementation with BS01 is of particular interest during microbiota imbalances, for example following antibiotic therapy, during periods of stress, or in cases of functional bowel disorders. Provided in the form of a food supplement, it guarantees a standardised and documented dose of viable micro-organisms.
