Ferrochel® Fer Bisglycinate

Ferrochel® iron bisglycinate is a patented chelated form of iron in which the mineral is bound to two molecules of L-Glycine, an amino acid naturally present in the body. This chelation process, developed by Albion Minerals, protects iron from unwanted interactions with other dietary components and stabilises the complex throughout the digestive tract. Thanks to this unique structure, iron is recognised and absorbed by the small intestine via amino acid transport pathways, contributing to significantly higher absorption than conventional forms such as iron sulphate or fumarate. This absorption mechanism also limits irritation of the intestinal lining, reducing the digestive discomfort commonly associated with iron supplementation. Iron contributes to the normal formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin, to the transport of oxygen throughout the body, and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
