Coenzym Q10 (Ubiquinol Kaneka™)

Coenzyme Q10 is a fat-soluble molecule naturally synthesised by the body and found in virtually all cells, particularly in tissues with high energy demands such as the heart, liver and muscles. It plays a central role in the mitochondrial respiratory chain, where it contributes to the production of cellular energy in the form of ATP. Its ability to neutralise free radicals also makes it an antioxidant that contributes to protecting cells against oxidative stress. Ubiquinol is the reduced, active form of coenzyme Q10, directly usable by the body without prior conversion. Endogenous CoQ10 production tends to decline with age, and certain situations such as intensive sport or statin use may further reduce levels. Kaneka™ Ubiquinol is a patented form derived from a natural fermentation process, recognised for its high bioavailability compared with conventional ubiquinone forms. Supplementation thus helps maintain adequate intake, particularly for those whose natural synthesis is reduced.
